ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR of Weber Shandwick
Giulia is Associate Director, Tech and Trade at Weber Shandwick, a Public Affairs consultancy in Brussels. Until May 2020 she lead on Cybersecurity and Data Policy in the Global Strategy Program of Hewlett Packard’s Government Relations. She had been with HP since December 2015, first as government relations lead for Northern Europe, then for UK & Italy, then for EU & Italy.
As well as a Public Affairs career as a consultant in London and Brussels, she had academic roles teaching politics and international relations to undergraduate and graduate students in UK and France. During her studies, she was also an intern in a think tank on space policy in Vienna, at Le Monde newspaper in Paris, at a translation agency and for a sub-Saharan Africa-focussed blog.
She has a PhD in Political Science from the London School of Economics, a Double Master’s Degree in European Affairs from Sciences Po (Paris) and the LSE and she graduated from Oxford in Philosophy and Modern Languages.
In 2016, Giulia was one of 30 under 30 honorees recognised by Forbes for the role they are playing in influencing public policies. She was also part of the UK Business Association CBI 35 under 35 Committee, providing young business leaders’ views on Brexit.
She has published both academic and non-academic articles in a range of publications and on a number of issues, from French 19th century literature to Italian politics, from space-related policies to cybersecurity and privacy.
